Boswellia & Turmeric
Boswellia serrata and turmeric root powder are two of FlexGuard's five named ingredients, and the two with the strongest independent research support. Here's a closer look at both.
Boswellia Serrata Extract
This tree extract is well-known for its potent anti-inflammatory properties. A scientific overview published in the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences highlighted the powerful anti-inflammatory benefits of Boswellia serrata specifically.
Turmeric Root Powder
High in curcuminoids, turmeric has been studied for its role in cartilage support and its anti-inflammatory properties. A systematic review and meta-analysis published in the Journal of Medicinal Food found evidence supporting turmeric and curcumin for easing knee osteoarthritis symptoms.
Why They're Paired Together
Both target the inflammatory pathways connected to joint discomfort, working alongside ginger root powder, Type II collagen, and selenium in the fuller formula.
An Honest Note
These citations concern research on the individual ingredients, not a clinical trial of the finished FlexGuard product. While Boswellia and turmeric have relatively strong research support, ingredients like ginger and selenium have less consistent scientific evidence specifically for joint pain relief. Individual results vary significantly.
